What is Call-Out Service?

Call-Out enables you to call from your authorized phones to any destination phone number in the world. You can use your cell phone or your regular phone to dial access numbers, your ninsha numbers or speed-dial numbers in your area or country and reach any destination number in the world. A speed-dial number is assigned for each destination number added to your Contacts. You will simply dial speed-dial numbers to reach your destination numbers anywhere in the World. You can also use your ninsha number in your area and call out to any destination phone number in the world. You can also use a SIP-enabled softphone to reach any destination number in the world by simply dialing the country code followed by the phone number. Your call-out will be charged to your account according to the rate schedule.

What is Call-In Service?

Call-In allows you to subscribe to ninsha numbers in any serving countries and forward incoming calls to any phone anywhere in the world. You can use the following methods to receive your incoming calls:

  1. You can receive calls on your SIP phone.
  2. You can receive calls on your Follow-Me phone number anywhere in the world.

What is a Follow-Me Number?

Follow-me number is used by the call-in service. It allows you to forward your incoming calls to any phone anywhere in the world. Your incoming calls will be charged to your account according to the rate schedule when you answer the phone.

What is a speed-dial number?

A speed-dial number is a local number assigned to one of your destination numbers under Contacts. Once assigned, when you call the speed-dial number from one of your Authorized Numbers, you will be connected to that contact's Destination Number. Speed-dial numbers are currently available in the US, UK and Sweden. More countries will be available in the near future.

What is an Authorized Number?

An Authorized Number is a number that is allowed to call ninsha phone numbers. On signup, your primary number is an Authorized Number, and you can add more Authorized Numbers under Authorized Number Settings. The ninsha system must receive proper Caller-ID information from an Authorized Number before you are allowed to call through access numbers or speed-dial numbers.

What is a Ninsha Number?

You can purchase and subscribe to Ninsha Numbers in more than 35 countries and use those numbers for your call-in service and call-out service. You can purchase more than one ninsha number in various countries and cities.

How do I call Ninsha Numbers from another SIP provider?

If you have an account with another SIP provider such as FreeWorldDialup then you can reach ninsha users by dialing ninsha-number@ninsha.com from that provider.

Are there any monthly fees?

Apart from Ninsha Numbers, there are no monthly fees for any of our other services. Calls are pay per usage, and are charged in USD per minute.

How do I pay for ninsha service?

You buy credits by logging in to your ninsha account at www.ninsha.com, click on Buy Credits on the top menu, and fill in the billing information that is required. Each call will be charged against your account according to the rate schedule. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.

How is the ninsha service different from other VOIP services such as VONAGE?

The ninsha service, unlike other VOIP services, does not require special hardware or Internet access to place a VOIP call.

How is the ninsha service different from Internet calling services like Skype?

Unlike Skype, ninsha does not require software downloads, computers, or Internet access to place a VOIP call.

How is the ninsha service different from calling card services?

The ninsha service, unlike calling cards, does not require two-stage dialing (i.e., first dialing the access number & then the destination number) as long as you have outgoing caller-id enabled on your phone. You simply dial a single number, namely the speed-dial number, to reach any destination number in the world.

How do I configure my SIP Phone to work with the ninsha service?

To configure your sip phone you will need the information from the Profile page of your account. You need to use the SIP Username on that page, as well as the passcode you use to login to your account. The SIP domain is "sip.ninsha.com".
